How to check-in places in Facebook without Mobile device

Facebook places gives your Facebook friends details about your current location.This is an important service to let your friends about your activities.

There is a prescribed Facebook app foe iPhone, Android,HP webOS, BlackBerry or Windows OS. If you don't have such mobile devices , don't worry. Here is a way to check-in places ,using your Personal Computer or Laptop Browser.

Steps for checking - in into Facebook Places with your Computer : 

Go to touch.facebook.com

Shown  below is the login page of Touch Facebook 

After entering your Facebook credentials (User ID and Password) , you will see a screen similar to this : 

When you click on Check-in link, your web browser will ask you for granting access to Facebook to track your current location . 

After you click Allow, you will be shown a list of places.

If you type a location, which is not in the list, you will see a following screen.

Now click on the Add link and then you will be shown following screen.

Click on add button. Now click in the check-in button.

Your location is now updated. It can be seen in your profile and news fed as under:
