How to create keyboard shortcut of any Program

After the implementation of GUI (Graphical User Interface) in windows based operating systems, it has been very easy to open and run program with a single click.Sometimes, when you are working with several programs ,it is inconvenient to go to desktop , by minimizing every active program.

There is a built-in solution for this in most of the recent Windows OS.you can assign keyboard shortcuts for each program to access them easily .

Assign keyboard shortcut for a particular program :

Step 1 : Go to the shortcut icon of a program , for which you want to make keyboard shortcut.

Step 2 : Right - click the icon. Select the option 'Properties', go to the tab 'Shortcut'

Step 3 : A dialog box will appear like this :

Step 4 : Here, click in the option of Shortcut key.

Step 5 : Now, press keys from the keyboard in either of the following combination :

                   (1) Ctrl + Shift + (Desired key e.g. A)
                         Example : Ctrl + Shift + M

                   (2) Ctrl + Alt + (Desired key e.g. A)
                         Example : Ctrl + Alt + M

After keying in the shortcut keys, make sure that they appear against the option of Shortcut key in the dialog box.

Step 5 : Now click on the Apply Button at the bottom right side of the dialog box.

Step 6 : Click on the OK Button.
