App 2 SD is a very useful app in terms of cleaning up internal storage of your Android device and transfer the apps from the internal memory to external memory. There are number of Android phones with very little amount of internal memory. In such phones, performance gets affected when the internal storage is filled up with lots of apps. With the help of App 2 SD application, one can easily move apps to external storage of Android device.
At the time of initial loading, this app shows three tabs – Movable , On SD card and Phone only.
Here, only some of the apps can be transferred to SD card or any other external storage. These apps can be seen under Movable tab of this app.
Under On SD card tab, only the applications are shown from the SD card. There is an option to remove or transfer an app from SD card to internal memory. This option, is, however, not so much important in terms of boosting up the performance of phone as well as SD card.
On the Phone only tab, the apps are shown, which cannot be transferred to SD card.
An interesting thing about this app is that this app runs in background. Whenever an app is installed, which is eligible to be sent to SD card, this App2SD app pops up a notification on the notification Bar and ask the user if he wants to transfer the newly installed app to SD card.
This app has a very simple user interface and it runs on devices which have Android 2.2 or later firmware.
