How to disable automatic restart or shutdown in Windows 7


Automatic Restart or shutdown is one of the most common problems in Windows 7. Actually, it is not a problem, but, it is a preventive measure against any damage to the system. Generally, this occurs at the time of System failure or BSOD. There is a very easy method to disable automatic restart or shutdown in Windows 7.


Here is a step – by – step method, to disable the automatic shutdown or restart.

Step 1 : Right click on the Computer icon from desktop and select Properties.


Step 2 : From Left sidebar, click on System protection. A new dialog box will open.




Step 3 : In new dialog box named System properties, click on Advanced tab .

Step 4 : Under Startup and Recovery section, click on Settings button. A new dialog box will open.

Step 5 : Under System failure section, simply uncheck Automatic restart.

Click on OK button of the two open dialog boxes and the automatic restart / shut down will be disabled.
